MEETING LEEANNE LOCKEN

YES IT HAPPENED!

On January 27, 2018 coming off the heels of season 2, i had the honor of meeting the QUEEN OF DALLAS herself LeeAnne Locken accompanied by her BFF lifestyle blogger and Dallas socialite Cynthia Smoot. It was a day for my bucket list meeting one of my favorite Real Housewives, and hears how it went…

The Journey to remember..

Weeks earlier i was at work scrolling threw twitter when i came across LeeAnne’s post that she would be the FestiGals guest of honor with a private meet & greet followed by Champagne and shopping. Checking the dates i realized Saturday would be my last 12hr night shift on the critical care ambulance i currently worked. Starting that Sunday would be my first shift on my new 24hr ambulance in a new city 20 min from my house. I was excited for my new adventure, and ready for a change of pace. That being said there was NO WAY i would miss the opportunity to meet LeeAnne. So i started calling some people and found someone to cover my shift Saturday night. With the shift covered i ordered my tickets to the private meet and greet!!!

The Day Arrived…

It was a Saturday evening in good ole Louisiana at the Helen Brett Winter Jewelry Show where LeeAnne would be from 2pm-4pm. I got off work at 6am went home took a nap, woke up around 11am and made my way into the Big Easy for the event. I arrived early to walk around and get registered, there was nobody at the M&G yet so i went shop. Close to 2pm i made my way up stairs and decided to go use the restroom before entering the venue. As i come out the restroom i catch out the corner of my eye someone walking up behind. Thrown off by the glasses i say “ehh Cynthia?” To which she replies yes! I introduce myself shocked an excited at the random run in. She asked me if i had seen LeeAnne yet and i told her no we had just walked up. Then she tells me well come meet her!!! (At this point i got nervous, im shy lol).

So we go into a back room and i can hear the mouth of the south talking away as we approach! Cynthia informs LeeAnne “i have the Bravo boy” and she excuses herself from her conversation and comes walking into the front! (Don’t freak Logan, pull it together). LeeAnne walks out and we hug and greet each other and chat before taking a photo. I couldn’t believe how tiny she was! I mean TINY!!! (We look like the number 10 in photo but oh well, i like my food haha). LeeAnne was EXACTLY! like you see on TV, loud, over the top bursting with personality!!! She was Super fun and funny! After she went back into her dressing room and we continued to the event to wait for her official entrance. Yes, i was still grinning like a cheese ball at this point!

AT THE EVENT…

During the event LeeAnne took photos walked around an talked with everybody, and did a mini Q&A. While all of that was going on, i asked Cynthia over for a photo. She was super friendly and held a conversation with me for a while about RHOD. The event was coming to a close, but before it ends they had a first line parade planned with LeeAnne to walk around with a band dancing in true New Orleans style. I looked at my sister-in-law and we had the same look of “lets get the fuck out of hear before this parade” on our shy faces. Walking around shopping we watched as the mini-parade escorted LeeAnne around like the true Queen she is! Leaving the Jewelry show, LeeAnne and Cynthia were standing by the exit so i stopped to say goodbye and made my way out the door, still in awe grinning…..BEST DAY EVER!

THE TAKE AWAY…

The takeaway from this meet & greet is that LeeAnne is so authentic, and genuine to who she really is! What you see, is what you get! Both Cynthia and LeeAnne are your typical down to earth fun-loving southern women. If you don’t watch RHOD, then what are you doing? Because i promise you, LeeAnne DOES NOT disappoint.
