BACK IN THE SADDLE…
Welcome back to a little place I call home, THE BIG D! Season 4 kicked off last night and I had so many thoughts about the episode but didn’t tweet much or share because I was so wrapped up into the lives of these fabulous ladies. So I figured I would share my top 5 thoughts and moments from the season 4 premiere! Getty up!
TOP 5 MOMENTS:
#1- Probably one of the funniest moments of the episode, I loved when LeeAnne was meeting with her wedding planner, Steve Kemble, and production edited a glitter fart into the scene. Bravo has been playing around with some really funny edits lately on all the different series and I live for it!
#2- Getting into the episode we see D’Andra and Momma Dee visiting Glenn Simmons memorial and D’Andra opens up about the financial status of Hard Night Good Morning and I have to give her props. To literally put your financial struggles on national TV must be hard, but at the same time, so relatable to many viewers! I love her for being so open and honest about her life. She puts the “Real” in Real Housewives!
#3- Welcome Kary Brittingham!!! I’ve been so excited to watch Kary and finally see some diversity in the franchise. Little did I know, just how good she would be. Coming in her first episode, she’s already carrying bones to pick with castmates and has strong opinions. Not to mention, She’s so funny! She has a dirty since of humor like myself, so I was dying laughing at all her sex jokes. I’m excited to see what she brings the rest of the season. Also… I love her accent!!!!!!!!
#4- On the downside, I didn’t like how Kary’s introduction was to the group. The way it was edited felt poorly thought out. Kary had already been introduced to the ladies and filmed scenes with them, as they show in the flashback from a dinner the night before. I wish they would have shown the initial introduction to show everybody’s first impressions of Kary Brittingham.
#5- Last but certainly not least, I knew that meet up was gonna go down like flight 93 on 9/11… but really that was a disaster lmao! I give Brandi and Stephanie an “A” for effort, but it was clear some things still needed to be said. It’s sad to see a friendship fall apart like that on TV, even though it makes great TV, lol! It will be a starting point for D’Andra and LeeAnne, however from the preview of the rest of season, it’s clear it won’t last long.
